We are a boutique arborist and gardening company that can cater to your complete garden needs. We are a family run business, a mother (the gardener) and son (the arborist),
We share a love of nature and gardening. This love began when Max was a toddler and we would spend hours outside, me gardening and him climbing trees.
Crispin is the gardener, soil guru and design specialist. She has spent twenty years honing her gardening skills. She has a deep knowledge of soil and plants. Having spent her lifetime as a designer she has an inherent sense of how to create a joyous garden.
Max is a professional arborist combining his love of trees and nature with his love of climbing. He has an eye for detail and a natural design sense. Not only will your trees get the best care possible but they will also look beautiful.
We run small, effective teams so that we can keep a close oversight over all our gardens. It is important to us that you are happy with the results and feel supported. Gardens can become overwhelming when you’re not sure where to start or you just don’t have the time. Running small teams means that we can be flexible and really get to know our gardens. We work with our clients timeframes and budgets, tailoring our services to your garden’s unique needs.
We believe our combined skills create a beautiful blend that is to the benefit of our clients. We will nurture your whole garden in any combination of our skills that you require. Our ability to listen allows us to understand your needs and translate your desires into reality.

We are committed to personalised care for your garden and for you. Our clients are extremely important to us, as is your garden. We know gardens can become overwhelming and more than anything, we want you to feel supported. We love giving your garden the care we would give our own.
Sustainability
We all worry about climate change, and as nature lovers, we try to be as sustainable as possible.
We only practise organic methods that will bring your garden into balance and provide the perfect environment for flourishing.
One of our main focus is to build your soil into an amazing environment that will store high levels of nutrients and encourage the symbiotic relationship between the soil food web and your plants. We work from the soil up because this creates resilient plants able to fight off pests and diseases. It is not an instant method but the most rewarding in the long run. We believe that gardens flourish with careful study and nurturing over time. Our soil building creates high organic matter and a comprehensive soil food web that allows the soil to store carbon.
Where possible, we try not to use plastic. If it is economical we will bring in compost by the cube rather than ordering plastic bags of compost. If we need bags we recommend Zoodoo who create their compost from waste products at the Zoo and supports suicide prevention.
We try not to spray or use pesticides at all. If we are having trouble with fungi we will use copper sprays. We use thrip bands instead of pesticide sprays. But ultimately, proper plant nutrition and soil building create an environment that allows plants to fight off disease and pests themselves.
